The Story Behind the Platform
1988rice built with one clear purpose — to deliver a truly safe, fair, and enjoyable online casino and sports betting experience for Malaysians. We are not just another platform. We are a community.
Name 1988rice is more than just a brand name — it carries deep meaning for us. It is a reminder of the core values that define who we are: resilience, loyalty, and a strong sense of community, much like rice, which has been at the heart of Malaysian life for generations. We began this journey with the belief that Malaysians deserve a truly world-class online entertainment platform — not a generic one that fails to understand local needs and preferences.
In an online casino industry crowded with major international names, 1988rice chose to stand as a platform that truly understands Malaysian users. We know you're more comfortable playing in Bahasa Melayu. We know you use Touch 'n Go eWallet for almost everything in daily life. We know you follow MPL Malaysia every week and get excited when your favourite team plays in the Liga Super Malaysia. That's exactly why 1988rice was built from the ground up with a Malaysian perspective — not an overseas platform retrofitted for the local market.
Since we first launched, 1988rice has grown to over half a million registered members from across Malaysia — from Johor Bahru to Kota Kinabalu, from Kuala Lumpur to Kuching. This growth hasn't come from advertising campaigns alone, but from trust built one experience at a time through positive gameplay, timely withdrawals, and genuinely helpful customer service.
We operate under a valid, regulated licence and use RNG (Random Number Generator) technology that has been audited and certified by independent third parties to ensure every game outcome is completely fair and random. This isn't just a marketing statement — it's a commitment we take seriously, because we know your trust is the most valuable asset we have.
Platform 1988rice offers a complete experience all under one roof. A Live Casino with real human dealers for baccarat, roulette, dragon tiger, and blackjack. Thousands of slot games from the world's leading providers. Sports Betting covering Liga Super Malaysia, the English Premier League, badminton, tennis, and more. E-Sports betting spanning Mobile Legends MPL, DOTA 2 The International, CS2 Majors, and Valorant. All of this is accessible from your smartphone through a responsive, fast interface — no separate app download needed.
The deposit and withdrawal process at 1988rice is designed to make your life easier, not more complicated. We accept all major Malaysian local payment methods including Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, DuitNow and FPX via Maybank2u, CIMB Clicks, RHB Now, Hong Leong Connect and Bank Islam. The minimum deposit is just RM 20, with funds credited in seconds. Withdrawals are processed within 5 to 15 minutes depending on your VIP tier — no hassle, no extra documents required for everyday transactions.
We also take responsible gaming very seriously. 1988rice believe that entertainment should always remain just that — entertainment. We provide self-control tools to help members manage their playing time and budget effectively. If you or someone you know feels that gaming is starting to have a negative impact, we encourage you to reach out to our support team or visit the Responsible Gaming section for guidance and support.
